STAGE 2 TRAINING

FOCUS ON GUIDING: This is a number of discussion points. The most beneficial way to complete this is by participating in a discussion group led by a facilitator. In such a group you will be able to share your ideas and concerns with other Guiders and learn from their experience in your branch and others.

INTERMEDIATE TRAINING IN LEADERSHIP AND PROGRAM SKILLS: Ten to twelve hours of training sessions, taken before, during or after Focus on Guiding. These sessions increase a volunteer's knowledge and understanding of Guiding and enhance her leadership and program skills so that she may give effective leadership.

Participation in a residential training is strongly recommended.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION: After completion of the above requirements the volunteer sets a personal goal based on what she has learned at the training.

Upon completion of Stage 2: Focus on Guiding, Intermediate Training and Practical Application, the BLUE Leadership Development pin is awarded.
