STAGE 1 TRAINING
BASIC TRAINING: Enables a volunteer to acquire the basic knowledge and skills necessary to begin to work effectively in her chosen position. This is usually done in evening or weekend sessions in small groups.
ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE: Ideally, an experienced Guider acts as a "buddy" helping you to start working in your position. She will be available to help you with advice, moral support and practical assistance so that you will become increasingly confident and independent.
Upon completion of Stage 1 the RED Leadership Development pin is awarded.
