On Hallowe'en

The Twelve Days of Hallowe'en
( tune - Twelve Days of Christmas)
On the first day of Hallowe'en my true love gave to me an owl in a dead tree;
On the second day of Hallowe'en my true love gave to me two trick or treaters and an owl in a dead tree;
Continue with each day using the following:

Third day - three black cats
Fourth day - four skeletons
Fifth day - five scary spooks
Sixth day - six goblins gobbling
Seventh day - seven pumpkins glowing
Eighth day - eight monsters shrieking
Ninth day - nine ghosts a booing
Tenth day - ten ghouls a groaning
Eleventh day - eleven masks a leering
Twelfth day - twelve bats a flying

Pass the Pumpkin
pumpkin
music (on cassette tape)
a cassette player

Have the girls sit in a circle. They begin passing the pumpkin. Turn on the music as they continue passing the pumpkin. Stop the music. The girl that is holding the pumpkin sits in the middle of the circle. Continue playing. One girl at a time replaces the one in the middle of the circle. Optional: You can also use an apple or any other Fall item!

Witches Cauldron
plastic cauldron
candy corn
red or green Jell-O
mini marshmallows
red licorice bits
gummy worms
raisins or chocolate. chips

Make some witches brew:
Make Jell-O (in the cauldron) according to box, when half set, add the vampire teeth (candy corn), bones(marshmallows) roaches, ants or bugs (raisins or chips), red eyes, (licorice pieces) and snakes (gummy worms) Mix up and eat, OR mix up and let finish setting completely. Use your imagination to make this a fun activity. Enjoy!
