  • This year's Northern Area Canada Cord Ceremony will be held September 10, 2000 in North Bay.
    ~ one pathfinder from Abitibi District

    ~ two pathfinders from Missinaibi District
    ~ two pathfinders from Timmins District
    Congratulations to these young women upon completing the Pathfinder Program.

  • "Celebrate Through the Years" is Northern Areas's year 2000 event to celebrate 90 years of Guiding in Canada, which is taking place at Doe Lake September 29-October 1, 2000. This event is open to all members of Northern Area from Sparks to Trefoil Guild members. At present there are more than 800 participants registered.

  • St. John's Ambulance Standard First Aid Training to be held at the Guide/Scout Hall in South Porcupine September 22-24, 2000. The fee is $30.00 for the course and $20.00 for the book. There is a limit of 12 Guiders. Others will be put on a waiting list. Now that we have an instructor close by we will be offering First Aid Training more often. You can request a training by contacting the Division Training Adviser.
